Wood pellets

wood_pellets_largeWood pellets come from renewable resources and represent an alternative to burning fossil fuels in light of the fight against climate change and for sustainable development. The manufacturing of wood pellets contributes to the recovery of sawmill residues (sawdust, shavings and chips), that are collected and compressed uniformly to ensure a high-quality, consistent product that has no glue or binder. When pellets are burned, the carbon stored in the woody tissue is released back into the atmosphere. Pellets are therefore carbon neutral, meaning that the carbon output corresponds to the growing trees’ carbon intake.
